The Afro-Punk Festival Hits The Bronx

On July 5 through the 13th, Brooklyn, New York will be the site of the11 Afro-punk Festival. Starting on July 5th there will be nightly live performances at the BAM skatepark, which will run until July 9th. After that date, the festival will shift locations to Fort Greene Park until July 13th.

On July 5 through the 13th, Brooklyn, New York will be the site of the Afro-punk Festival. Starting on July 5th there will be nightly live performances at the BAM skatepark, which will run until July 9th. After that date, the festival will shift locations to Fort Greene Park until July 13th. The opening day of the festival will feature free skate clinics by BMX pro riders and skaters, as well as an exhibition and competition for festival goers. The night will also be backed by performances from Afrika Bambaataa (DJ set), Janelle Monae, The Apes, Shawn Hewitt and Millsted.
