Tera Melos: X’ed Out (Sargent House, 4/16/13)
Tera Melos’s new record, X’ed Out, is full of new ideas, a so-called “toned down” approach, and some of the shreddiest, post-prog beauty ever to be calculated. After channeling schoolgirl anime in “Bite,” the band is back with a blend of bizarre scenery, sugared cereal, and low-budget performance art in the hypnotic video for “Weird Circles.”
