The Greyboy Allstars: Bitch Inside Me

The Greyboy Allstars has made funky and soulful jams for 20 years. The band, coming together through collaboration between horn player Karl Denson and DJ Greyboy, is made up of musicians who are all successful in their own right. Because of this, the band has only released three records so far, always returning to have more fun together.

Its fourth album, Inland Emperor, drops on April 16 and includes the return of original band members Robert Walter, Elgin Park (a.k.a. Michael Andrews), and Chris Stillwell, plus the recent addition of Aaron Redfield. Featuring former Miles Davis and Fishbone collaborator John Bigham (presently of Soul of John Black), “Bitch Inside Me” is a groove-infused track that plays out as a discussion between singer and self, with the titular assertion serving as a toe-tapping chorus.
