Video Premiere: Netherlands trains the Tenenbaums in “Silicon Vapor”

Netherlands: Silicon Vapor (self-released, 10/29/13)

High-energy post-punk group Netherlands released its second label-defying record last month. Now the band has allowed ALARM to premiere the video for its titular single. “Silicon Vapor,” directed by Jordan Galland, features guitarist Timo Ellis running his teammates through their paces. A homage to the fire drill of The Royal Tenenbaums, the whole thing is scored by a song that begs to be yelled through a megaphone.
