“Purveyor of Cool” Isle of Man takes on the Chicago Botanic Garden Antiques & Garden Fair

When the Chicago Botanic Garden needed to create a guy-friendly space for its Antiques & Garden Fair Preview Night, it turned to the people that know gentleman the best—menswear retailer and purveyor of cool Isle of Man. Feeling like past events had predominantly appealed to women, the Garden invited Isle of Man to create a unique atmosphere that was inviting to the male guests.

The outcome? The Men’s Lounge—a finely curated space that evoked American heritage and craftsmanship with custom-built furniture and conversation-worthy industrial pieces. All of the items were available for purchase, including a show-stopping custom-built bar that encased a 2014 Triumph Thruxton provided by Motoworks Chicago.

The bar, of course, was fully stocked with whiskeys, wine from Bonterra, and beer from Lagunitas Brewing Company. Two other vintage bikes were also on display: a 1970 Triumph Daytona and 1968 Triumph Bonneville, both from Restoration Cycle Works.
